When people perform an organic search for a business near them, Google will prioritize companies with optimized GMB listings on the results page. 

The key here is to make sure your listing links directly to your site. This way, if people want to learn more about your business, they’re only one click away. 

3. Build Backlinks

Backlinks refer to inbound links from other websites or online platforms. If other websites are linking to your website, then it tells Google and the visitors on those other sites that your site is legit. This can result in higher search engine rankings. 

Keep in mind though, that these must be quality backlinks — links from reputable websites with high domain authority and overall credibility. For example, if your business deals in financial services, you could write a guest post on Investopedia and have a link included back to your site. 

One of the best ways to build backlinks is through strategic guest posting. You write a quality article to be posted on another website. The article will then contain a link or two back to your website.
